I have an American that I know lays blue green eggs, a Golden Comet and a Silky that I think lay brown eggs. But I am not sure which one of the others lay white eggs I got my first white egg yesterday...

Best bet is to look at the earlobes on the bird. White Earlobes= White eggsRed Earlobes= Brown EggsThere are some exceptions to this too (The Penedecencas) My guess Is the Langshen but It could also...

I had a beautiful White Langshan hen for 3 yrs but it died suddenly this fall but she layed really dark brown speckled eggs, almost as dark as my Barnevelders.scott

Thanks for the advise. The Silky is a banty and this was a normal size egg so I don't think it was her. I will have to look at the ear lopes tonight when I get home I had no idea you could tell that...
